Raiders in playoff mode going up against winless Gladiators

Records, rankings: North is 5-3 overall, 2-3 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked; Johns Creek is 0-8, 0-5 and unranked.

Last meeting: Johns Creek won 34-7 in 2012.

What to know: North breathed a sigh of relief after the Raiders squeaked out a 28-24 victory over Centennial last week. Zac Slaton rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns, and Cody Gottberg was a perfect 5 of 5 passing for 110 yards and a touchdown and rushed for another score. It ended a three-game skid and kept North’s playoff hopes alive. In fact, the Raiders are in playoff mode now – they need to win out and get some help from other teams to have a chance at the playoffs.

Enter Johns Creek. The Gladiators are in jeopardy of going winless for the first time since the school opened in 2009. There have been some bright spots. Senior quarterback Chase Solomon leads the team in rushing with 615 yards and eight touchdowns. He rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries against South Forsyth last week. Austin Wedding has a team-high three interceptions.
