When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at Panther Stadium in Fayetteville.

Records, rankings: West is 1-1 and unranked in Class 6A; Starr’s Mill is 1-1 and unranked in Class 5A.

Series history: West leads 1-0.

Last meeting: West won 63-14 in 2012.

What to know: West has to feel good after topping No. 10-ranked Class 5A Flowery Branch last week. The Wolverines racked up 428 yards of offense, including 288 rushing yards and 140 passing. Running backs Gabe Pierce and Trevor O’Brien combined for 197 yards and four touchdowns to lead the charge. The West offense should have another big performance, as Starr’s Mill has given up a combined 74 points in the first two games.

The Panthers went 14-0 in 2010 before losing in the state championship game to Chattahoochee, but they have been down the past two seasons. West should be able to coast to another victory and start the season 2-1 before region play begins.
