Deputies arrest Lambert student and parents on multiple drug charges

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an 18-year-old Lambert High School student and his parents on multiple counts of drug related charges.

According to Cpl. Doug Rainwater, John Cooper Coleman, Holly Jean Coleman and John Christopher Coleman were arrested at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday after a search warrant of 4810 Dartmoor Lane in Cumming led deputies to marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, THC wax and drug related objects within the house. 

John Cooper Coleman, an 18-year-old resident of Cumming has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects and two counts of possession of schedule I substance with the intent to distribute.

His parents, Holly Jean Coleman, a 50-year-old female and John Christopher Coleman, a 52-year-old male, have been charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of MDMA, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects and two counts of possession of schedule I substance with the intent to distribute.

Rainwater said that all of the charges in this case are felonies.

All three were booked into the Forsyth County Detention Center without incident.

John Cooper Coleman has been given a bond of $51,115.00. The charge for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute will mean that both Holly Jean and John Christopher Coleman will be denied a bond until they can see a judge.

The narcotics unit of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office carried out the search warrant and the arrest.
