Officials with Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a 21-year-old Sugar Hill man in connection with a gas station robbery that occurred early Saturday morning.

Tanner Blake Roberts was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with armed robbery, a felony, for an incident at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Speedway convenience store at 3310 Buford Highway, located at the intersection of Buford Highway and James Burgess Road.

According to Cpl. Doug Rainwater with Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Roberts was identified through social media.

Rainwater said the suspect left the store with cash from the register. While the suspect allegedly never produced a weapon, he is charged with armed robbery because he told the clerk he had a gun.

He is being held at the Forsyth County Jail without bond.
