The Cumming Farmer’s Market opened Saturday.

The market is located in the fairgrounds' parking lot, and is held every Wednesday and Saturday morning, beginning at 6:30.

Randy Gazaway, the market's manager, encouraged shoppers to get there early for the best selection.

“The produce sells really fast ... sometimes we’ll have buyers sitting here waiting on us to get here and open at 6:30,” Gazaway said.

Gazaway said that the best produce is still a couple of weeks away.

“With all the rain we’ve had, our produce is coming in a little late this year," he said. "I’d expect to see things really start around the middle of June.”
