SOUTH FORSYTH — The South Forsyth Rotary Club recently presented Bald Ridge Lodge with a $7,030 check to help light their new outdoor sports area.

The area was built by the Leadership Forsyth class of 2015 and dedicated to two lodge founders and founding club members — the late H.A. “Buddy” Lang, who was CEO of Lang Signs Inc., and the Charlie Smith, a retired judge.

The lodge is a nonprofit stabilization and assessment center in Forsyth County for boys ages 12-18 who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services or referred by the local Juvenile Court.

Half of the funds were provided from the club’s fundraising efforts. The other half was matching funds from the Rotary District 6910 Foundation.
