One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries around 11:30 a.m. Thursday after an SUV traveling east on Kelly Mill Road and turning right onto Canton Highway struck a pedestrian at the intersection’s crosswalk, according to officials at the scene.

Canton Highway eastbound is currently closed at Kelly Mill road.
