Several Forsyth County roads remain closed due to flooding as a result of heavy rain early Sunday.

Jodi Gardner, a spokeswoman for Forsyth County’s government, said crews are working on Sanders Road between Mary Alice Park and Timberlake Trail and Parks Road, not far from Lake Lanier.

“We are still assessing both of these areas so we have not yet been able to determine an estimated time frame for reopening them,” Gardner said.

Nicholson Road at the Etowah River was closed until about noon Monday, but has since reopened.

The popular Big Creek Greenway is closed in south Forsyth with the exception of the section that runs from Bethelview Road to Hwy. 9.
