CUMMING — One lane of Ga. 400 south under the Mary Alice Park Road bridge will close overnight tonight and Tuesday so crews can work on the gas line attached to the bridge. Delays are expected.

The work was originally scheduled for the weekend, but did not occur due to the weather, according to the state Department of Transportation. The northbound project, however, was completed.

Teri Pope, a communications officer with the DOT, said crews will work over the southbound side from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. both nights.

Closures will be from mileposts 31-33 between Exit 14 (Cumming) and Exit 15 (Bald Ridge Marina Road).
