Firefighters from Dawson and Forsyth counties responded to a
detached workshop of a north Forsyth home on Wednesday morning. The owner and
two dogs were able to escape the building, and crews were able to salvage many
of the items inside. The fire did not spread to the home, and there were no
injuries to residents or firefighters. Forsyth County Fire Department officials
said the building was damaged but much of it was saved. Officials said the fire
was off the main road, and Dawson County Emergency Services provided a tanker
truck to supply water.
