The last three issues of the Forsyth County News have been used by the “Mother Goose and Grimm” comic strip to promote its creator’s, Mike Peters, anti-gun political message regarding our national parks.
He is uninformed and naive in his childish potrayal of law abiding citizens as bufoonish wildlife killers, etc..
There were 72,104 incident reports in 2007, including 716 violent crimes against persons, which can be verified here: www.nps.gov/uspp/2007AnnReport.pdf.
Comics are supposed to be funny and entertaining, neither of which applies to this un-comic strip. Mr. Peters’ continual push of his fairy tales (ironically, like the name of his very unfunny strip) about those that want to protect their families have no place in the family comics.
