I was quite concerned to hear on the news that the Forsyth County school system is not recommending that their teachers and students listen to words of academic encouragement from the president of our country.

I certainly hope that this is not because the president is a Democrat rather than a Republican. What will be the future of our country if we do not respect the elected president and encourage our children to do so no matter his or her political affiliation?
