I would like to share with you what my family and I witnessed on Sept. 8.
We were in Cumming for the funeral of my uncle. The funeral procession went from Byars Funeral Home through your city and county, and on to his final resting place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
Everyone along the way was so respectful and so kind. The officers that stopped traffic, the officers that lead us through the county, the on-coming traffic, even one man who was weed eating on the side of the road stopped and bowed his head.
The respect from your citizens was so touching and so warm. My family and I would like to thank you all very much.
