Sheriff's office doesn't get coffee from county

Forsyth County News
On Nov. 12,  an article by Julie Arrington reported the county commission had approved multiple service agreements for 2010 including coffee and water service.

When Commissioner Boff noted the expenditure(s), Donna Kukarola, procurement director, stated coffee and water are provided only for elected officials.

Let me set the record straight. The Sheriff’s Office does not provide coffee to any employees, including myself, paid for with tax dollars.

We do, in fact, provide drinking water in three out of the 10 buildings which the Sheriff’s Office occupies. The reason for this is those three buildings do not have drinking fountains, and the bottled water coolers are the remedy to the absence of drinking fountains.
