Taxes, particularly at the national level, are generally considered to be bad and even harmful to our financial well-being. I think we feel this way because we have very little influence or control over how our tax dollars are spent.

But what if you had a situation where everyone in a community contributed to a common cause, in an equal manner, with local control and held the government accountable for their actions? And, the end result was an enhancement to your quality of life! I believe such a situation would define a good tax.

SPLOST VII does all this and will help continue to position Forsyth County as an ideal place to live and raise our families. I encourage you to vote “YES” for SPLOST VII on November 8th.
