2017 Forsyth County News All-County Golf Team


Player of the Year: Erik Forberg, South Forsyth (Jr.): A rock-solid presence in his first season of high school golf, Forberg had a 73.5 season average, shot a one-under 70 at the area championship and tied for sixth overall in the state with a 150 total over two rounds.

Coach of the Year: Brooks Youngblood, Lambert: Led the Longhorns to their second-straight state runner-up finish, with scores the area and state championships that made them the clear class of the county.

Helped lead Raiders to team state tourney both, shot 72 at area championship
