Lambert 48, Centennial 45
ROSWELL – Leah Cote had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds as the Lady Longhorns got a big Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.
Ashley Johnson added 13 points for Lambert (11-11, 6-9), helping the Lady Longhorns avenge a 43-30 loss to the Lady Knights on Dec. 13.
North Forsyth 47, Habersham Central 27
Lochlain Corliss scored 15 points and the Lady Raiders cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.
Corliss was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and made her only free-throw attempt.
Caroline Bowns added 14 points and four steals for North (19-3, 13-2), while Maddie Palmer had seven rebounds and three steals.
St. Francis 80, Pinecrest Academy 53
ALPHARETTA – Margaret Metz had 35 points but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Paladins dropped a Region 6-A, Div. B game Tuesday on the road.
Pinecrest (14-7, 6-3) did reach its goal of eclipsing the 50-point mark against a St. Francis that entered as the No. 1-ranked team in Class A by MaxPreps.com. The Lady Paladins lost the teams’ Dec. 12 meeting, 78-33.
South Forsyth 69, Northview 30
Sarah Myers had 13 points and the Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday at home.
Myers led 10 players who scored for South (20-2, 15-0), which won its ninth straight.
Caroline Diem added 11 points, while Emily Dreslinski, Mari Jonassen and KK Storms each had eight points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Centennial 68, Lambert 61
ROSWELL – Jake Morris had 23 points but the Longhorns dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday on the road.
Lambert (17-5, 12-3) fell behind 25-17 after the first quarter and couldn’t recover to suffer its second consecutive loss.
North Forsyth 59, Habersham Central 57
Chad Bureau had 21 points and the Raiders got a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.
Nick Cunningham added 11 points for North (9-13, 6-9), which won for the third time in its last four games.
St. Francis 110, Pinecrest Academy 59
The Paladins couldn’t handle the No. 1 Knights in a Region 6-A, Div. B loss Tuesday on the road.
Pinecrest (8-13, 3-6) fell behind 35-11 after the first quarter and couldn’t respond against No. 1-ranked St. Francis.
South Forsyth 71, Northview 58
Evan Cole had 27 points as the War Eagles earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home to pull into a tie for sixth place with North and West.
Matt McCorkle added 15 points for South (7-15, 6-9). Zach Sewing had 13 points and Thomas McClellan added eight.
