Forsyth Central 16, North Atlanta 2

ATLANTA – The Bulldogs used two big innings to complete a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B series sweep Friday on the road.

Central (14-3, 11-1) scored six runs in the top of the third and 10 in the fifth.

Ryan Cox got the win on the mount, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out five.

Hunter Bauman led the Bulldogs at the plate going 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI. Luke Sutko was 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Parker Biederer went 3-for-3 with an RBI.

South Forsyth 12, Habersham Central 4

Alex Andronica went 3-for-5 with a double, home run and three RBI as the War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday at home.

Landon Sims got the win on the mound for South (11-7, 6-6), allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out five in five innings. Brett Vincent added 1 1/3 innings of perfect relief with two strikeouts.

Brett Graczyk went 2-for-3 with four runs scored, Sims was 2-for-3 with an RBI and the War Eagles also got RBIs from Matt Bapst, Max Schmal, Alec Kliphouse and Caston McDonald. Trae Dunn scored two runs and had two stolen bases.


West Forsyth 2, Lassiter 1

Kylie Gazza and April Lowthridge had goals as the Lady Wolverines handed No. 1-ranked and previously undefeated Lassiter its first loss in a non-region game Thursday at home.

Lassiter (12-1) had allowed just three goals all season and posted 10 shutouts entering the game.

West (11-3-1, 7-0 Region 6-AAAAAA) goalkeeper AJ Needham preserved the win with several crucial saves down the stretch.
