Inaugural Fly High for Parks planned for Saturday at Fowler Park
Play at the Park

Forsyth County Parks Foundation and Bryan Properties invites community members, friends and families of Forsyth County to come and join the Parks Foundation at Fowler Park from 5-9 p.m. Sept. 7, for the foundation’s inaugural Fly High for Parks.

Fly High for Parks, sponsored by Bryan Properties, Martin Marietta, Patel Brothers, Meritage Homes and the Forsyth County Parks Foundation, is a showcase of Forsyth County and its beautiful greenspaces, parks and recreation areas. The event will include food trucks, vendors, bounce houses and other family friendly entertainment. Admission is free, but for $15 a ticket, patrons can take a ride in one of three tethered hot air balloons which will fly up to 50-feet high in the sky for views of Forsyth County and scenic Sawnee Mountain.

Proceeds from Fly High for Parks will benefit the Forsyth County Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to promote healthy, active lives by providing awareness and financial support for Forsyth County Parks and Recreation.

“Our primary goal is to fund and grow our annual scholarships to underserved children so that they may participate in one of Forsyth County’s many parks and recreation youth programs,” said Matthew Van Dyke, member of the board of directors.
