The Sawnee Association of the Arts has announced the artists and works of art which were recently awarded as part of the group’s 2019 Springtime in the City Show & Art Market.
According to SAA member Kris Weeden, all the works on display at the Brannon-Heard House for the event were created by SAA members and were judged by a professional.
"I think it went really well," Weeden said. "It was very enjoyable, the art was beautiful and the talent that our artists have in our group is unbelievable."
In the end, she said that 13 awards were given by the judge for the photos, drawings, paintings and 3D works that were entered.

Second Place - Bill Roberts
Third Prize - an aspen Roberts
Honorable Mention - Mary Negron
Honorable Mention - Guy Frazer

First Prize - Al Money
Second Prize - Carole Kjellson
Third Prize - Marilyn DeCusati
Honorable Mention - Robin Bird Smith
Weeden also said that the springtime art event was made possible by a grant from the Forsyth County Arts Alliance to help offer local arts, snacks and vendors to the local community.
