Car show to benefit Bald Ridge Lodge this weekend
Grounded Truth Gathering 2022

Car show season kicks off this Friday, April 29th with the Grounded Truck Gathering at the Cumming Fairgrounds. Organizer Danny Bearden said this show will be open to trucks only, and is going to raise funds to go toward educational needs at the Bald ridge  Lodge.

The show runs Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spectator admission and parking are free.  The registration fee for trucks is $30, and truck owners who want to enter should come into the fairgrounds through the back gate, which is off 280 Tolbert Street. More information is available HERE

There will be a food truck and live comedy show Friday evening from 6 to 8, and a radio controlled drag race car demonstration on Saturday. The Forsyth Central Automotive team will also be at the show exhibiting their championship winning mechanical skills, and there will be inflatables and kids activities as well.

Bearden, who is also involved in the annual Auto Crusade car show which has taken place in Forsyth County for nearly thirty years said he hopes the proceeds from the show will help boys from the lodge continue their educations locally at Lanier Technical College.
