Victim from morning wreck on Ga. 400 identified

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim killed in an early morning crash on Ga. 400 as 18-year-old Haley Marie Wood of Cumming, a senior at Forsyth Central High School. 

Rainwater said the wreck, which involved only the vehicle Wood was driving happened at about 6:50 this morning on Ga. 400 northbound near Majors Road.  .  

DFC Andy Ives, a traffic investigator with the Sheriff's office said that Wood's 2016 Honda Civic was travelling northbound on Ga. 400 approaching the Majors Road Bridge when she struck the concrete median wall, crossed back across all three northbound lanes and left the roadway, striking a tree.  

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
