A hands-on workshop to teach local high schoolers the skills they need for life and as they enter the workforce is poised to start in Forsyth County next week.
According to a press release from BMORE and A Matter of Motivation Inc., the first session of the BMORE workshop series will be held at Mountain Lake Church in Forsyth County starting on Sept. 19. The event will offer seminars from business professionals and community leaders, resume-building workshops, mentoring and scholarship opportunities.
“It's adulting 101 for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors in Forsyth County,” the release states. “Each session will be filled with experiential exercises designed to prepare, motivate, and educate teens as future employees, college students, leaders, and citizens.”
The BMORE website states that students who participate in the workshop series will attend four separate workshops over several months, with special sessions for parent participation on how they can support their students.
Upon completion of the series, students will receive a certificate of professionalism from the University of North Georgia.
