CUMMING -- The Cumming American Legion Post 307 awarded a 60th Year Continuous Membership Certificate to William Repella, pictured left.
Repella served in the U.S. Army through three wars – World War II, Korea and Vietnam – and is a Purple Heart recipient having served in combat in Korea and Vietnam.
“The incredible dedication his life has shown to country and community has set standards few could follow,” said John Arant, of the American Legion Post 307.
Repella and his wife live in Dawson County and was formerly part owner of Slopes BBQ in Cumming.
