Suicide of 32-year-old man investigated at Northside Hospital Forsyth

Local authorities are reporting that a 32-year-old man intentionally shot himself in a vehicle parked at Northside Hospital Forsyth on Friday morning, resulting in his death. 

According to Aletha Barrett, deputy chief of police for the city of Cumming, the man traveled to the hospital with his wife for an appointment and shot himself after a domestic argument. 

Barrett said that the man was from outside of Forsyth County and was recently diagnosed with cancer. 

The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at about 10:30 a.m. and his body is now being taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsy.  

The Forsyth County coroner, sheriff's office, Georgia State Patrol and the city of Cumming police were all involved in the incident and have since cleared the scene.
