The Georgia Army National Guard Armory in Cumming is in need of a little help from the community.

The armory is accepting holiday decorations, refreshments and donations for its Christmas party, which is scheduled for Saturday.

The party, for unit members and their families, includes a catered lunch. But beverages, including coffee and tea, for 100 to 150 adults and enough snacks for about 50 children are sought for the morning meeting.

The public is welcome to visit the new armory, on Canton Highway across from the Forsyth County Health Department, during lunchtime Saturday.

Checks should be made out to the Cumming Armory FRG Fund.
