GAINESVILLE — No one appears to have been hurt when a boat burned early Thursday morning on Lake Lanier, Hall County Fire Services has reported.

Fire crews responded about 6:08 a.m. to the Shoal Creek campground area on reports from a passing fisherman.

They found a 20-foot cabin cruiser fully engulfed in flames. The boat burned down to the water line.

The county's Marine Rescue Team searched the area, but found no victims despite a large debris field in the cove.
