UPDATE: Wednesday night's work has been rescheduled for Thursday night due to incoming weather.

NORTH FORSYTH – Work to replace a 60-year-old bridge in north Forsyth will continue this week, causing single lane closures overnight Tuesday.

One lane of Boling Bridge on Dawsonville Highway (Hwy. 53) will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Feb. 28-March 2 and directed by flagging operations as crews install temporary concrete barrier walls and pour another substructure support for the new bridge.

Weather permitting, the closure will begin at Dogwood Trail and end at Little Hall Park, according to Katie Strickland, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Transportation.

“Please slow to the posted 35 miles per hour speed limit while in the work zone,” she said.
