Box of cats left at south Forsyth Kroger
FCSO

SOUTH FORSYTH -- A suspicious package in a south Forsyth grocery store parking lot turned out to be nothing more than a box of cats Monday night.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies and firefighters were dispatched to the Kroger on Peachtree Parkway just after 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a suspicious package.

A produce box, taped up with a note to call 911, had reportedly been found in the store’s parking lot.

When deputies arrived, they found cats in the box, according to Epifanio Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

It was not immediately clear how many cats were in the box, how old they were or in what condition of health they were found.
