Some of north Georgia's top real estate agents will be recognized Thursday.

The 400 North Board of Realtors will present its annual awards during "A Night to Remember - A Celebration of Excellence" at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center.

The event, which is open to members and the general public, will feature dinner, an awards ceremony, cocktails and dancing, said Mary O'Dell, board services coordinator.

"So far, we've got about 156 people registered to attend and we'll probably have more [this] week," O'Dell said.

Among the awards presented at the black-tie optional event include: top producer; workhorse; phoenix; crystal; and silver phoenix.

The top producer and workhorse awards are based on sales, while the phoenix, crystal and silver phoenix awards factor in sales and number of years experience.

Awards in previous years have been presented during a luncheon meeting. This marks the first time they will be presented during a dinner event, according to the organization.

"We encourage all in our industry to attend and ask everyone to stay tuned as we celebrate the success of our markets," O'Dell said.

The night begins with a cocktail reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dinner, the awards presentation and dancing will follow.
