Sam Story has joined Alliance National Bank as a senior vice president in the loan production office in Dawsonville.

Andrew K. Walker Sr., chief executive officer, said in a statement that the bank was “thrilled to have Sam as part of our lending team.”

“He has an excellent banking reputation in the Forsyth County community,” Walker said.

Alliance National is a locally-owned community bank headquartered in Dalton, with $155 million in assets.

Story is a Forsyth County native and graduate of North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega. He also has a graduate banking degree from Stonier Banking School, and more than 15 years of banking experience in the local market.

Story, a former board member of Forsyth/Dawson FCA, is active in the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, local United Way and First Baptist Church in Cumming. He also coaches youth basketball.

In a statement, Alliance National President David Gregg said the bank is excited about its loan production office.

“This office has our full support and we look forward to the day when we will open a full-service bank in Forsyth County,” Gregg said.
