The law firm of Banks, Stubbs & McFarland announced this week that Mitchell “Mitch” M. McKinney has joined their firm as of-counsel.
According to a news release, prior to joining Banks, Stubbs & McFarland, McKinney was the founding partner of the Mitchell M. McKinney, P.C. law firm from 2005 to 2019.
McKinney also practiced with Patterson & Hansford and Jarrard & Davis as an assistant county attorney for Forsyth County and previously served as assistant district attorney with the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s office.
The release states that McKinney is licensed to practice in all courts within Georgia and Alabama including the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia, and is a member of the State Bar of Alabama. Previously McKinney served as president of the Forsyth County Bar Association and he is a current member of the Forsyth Rotary Club.
“[McKinney] practices primarily in the areas of family law including divorce, child custody and child support/alimony, criminal defense and personal injury,” the release states.
McKinney is a graduate of Mercer University, where he majored in economics, and the University of Alabama School of Law, the release states.
