A British chemical equipment supplier has announced it will establish its U.S. headquarters in Cumming.

Biodiesel King will locate at a site in the city, which will also serve as its distribution center.

The company specializes in supplying chemicals, fuels, additives, equipment and accessories to the biodiesel industry.

Biodiesel King also handles the collection of waste cooking oil from restaurants, hotels and other sources and pays up to $1 per gallon to area suppliers.

Managing member Ian Dawson said the company, which will create about five new jobs, looks forward to moving to Cumming.

“I selected Forsyth due to its good school system, transport network and growing businesses in the area, along with the nearby food and oil companies,” he said in a statement.

Cumming Mayor H. Ford Gravitt welcomed the firm.

“We are delighted to have industries come in and provide employment opportunities and are excited to see small businesses come and establish themselves in Cumming,” he said in a statement.
