Free child identification kits will be given away this weekend at a south Forsyth bank.

The event is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Chase Bank, 5585 Atlanta Highway.

Each kit includes a photo and physical description of the child, as well as fingerprints and a DNA sample.

The information may be used by law enforcement in the event that a child goes missing.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office will assist bank staff members as they photograph and fingerprint children.

The Forsyth County Fire Department will also participate in the event.
