FORSYTH COUNTY — Officials received 858 responses to a recent online survey asking residents to “tell us about your Forsyth County.”

According to a news release from the county government, the brief survey was conducted as part of a branding effort. The initiative is slated to include development of a new county logo.

Jodi Gardner, the county’s director of communications, said in a statement that officials were grateful to “each and every person who took the time to provide their valuable input.”

“We really appreciate the community’s participation in this survey,” she said.

Snapshot of the survey results:

• Of all of Forsyth’s physical assets, the one ranked most valuable by the largest number of survey takers was Lake Lanier.

• In a question about all the county offers, “quality of life” was ranked most important by the largest number of people.

• “Family-friendly” was the term that the most respondents said was a perfect description of the county.

A work group will review all of the information gathered through the survey as it moves forward with the branding and logo efforts. The existing logo was adopted in 1986.
