CUMMING — Costco opened its newest location Friday in Cumming.

Located at the end of Market Place Boulevard, near Ga. 400 at Exit 15, the membership warehouse store drew large crowds throughout the day.

The grand opening celebration continues throughout the weekend, with demonstrations and sample stations set up for customers to enjoy.

The 148,000-square-foot facility includes a gas station and will provide all of the typical Costco trappings, such as fresh produce, meats, breads, frozen foods, clothing and furniture items.

There are also specialty sections such as optical, hearing and pharmacy departments, jewelry, tires, photography and electronics.

The store features an extension wine section, with bottles ranging up to $700, a package store and a concession area where shoppers can take a break to enjoy ready-made items like pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and frozen yogurt.
