CUMMING — Nov. 5 marked 30 years since Kelli Moore began working for Cumming attorney Rafe Banks.

She was just out of high school, and Banks was the District Attorney. After working for six months in the Forsyth County Solicitor Office, she was hired by the DA’s office as a secretary.

When Banks, an attorney at Banks & Stubbs LLP, moved to private practice in 1988, Moore went with him.

“She tells me where I need to be and makes sure the appropriate people are there too,” Banks said. “She’s in contact with all of my clients.”

He said he has had an “incredibly blessed” work life, and Moore is part of that.

“[My clients] all want to meet her,” he said. “They say, ‘May I meet the voice on the phone?’ We all say she’s not a lawyer, but she’s probably a better lawyer than anyone you can hire.”

Kelli is married to Michael Moore, an owner of Lang Signs in Cumming.
