CUMMING — A few tickets remain for the Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner and Celebration on Oct. 23.

Laura Bradley, the chamber’s director of communications and events, recommended those interested in attending the popular business networking event not wait much longer.

“Ticket sales are further along than they typically are at this point,” she said. “I really foresee us not having as many the week of the event as we have in past years.

“I think people have kind of gotten their tickets early, which is great. I would encourage people to go ahead and purchase tickets this week.”

The event, held at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth County Conference Center, celebrates the chamber’s membership and accomplishments of the past year. Tickets are $150 per person, with tables of 10 also available.

“We use the event certainly to provide kind of a fun and different networking opportunity for our members,” Bradley said.

In a slight change this year, there will be no Charles Welch Citizen Award. Welch was a former Cumming councilman and Forsyth County commissioner whose son, Chuck Welch, was elected to the council this summer.

Bradley said another prestigious honor will be awarded instead. “Our chairman of our board of directors, Mark Vaughn, will be giving a chairman’s award.”

Tickets to the event can be purchased online at the http://www.cummingforsythchamber.org/ or over the phone at (770) 887-6461.
