Know a deserving family or organization that could use a new look at their home or facility?
Friday is the deadline for nominations for this year’s Designing Dreams program through Allison Havill Todd Interiors, a Cumming interior design firm.
Founder Allison Havill Todd said there’s still time to nominate a worthy family or organization for the room makeover, which is valued at about $20,000.
"It only takes about 10 minutes of your time to make a huge impact in the life of someone else," Todd said.
Last year, the room makeover was awarded to Jesse’s House, a local shelter for girls.
The previous year, it went to a family with a child who was had many health issues, including a brain tumor and complications from a premature birth.
After a winner is selected, Allison Havill Todd Interiors teams up with local and national vendors to plan, create and execute a complete room makeover from floor to ceiling.
The process includes everything from paint and flooring to lighting, furniture and window treatments.
Todd encouraged last-minute nominations.
"You still have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone who is going through a hard time," she said.
