Forsyth County’s procurement director recently received the Certified Professional Public Buyer credential from the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council.
Donna H. Kukarola was among 164 professionals who successfully completed the examination in October.
Established in 1964, the certification is an honor for those employed in the public procurement profession and considered an asset to their specific division of administration.
The certification recognizes only those professionals who have fulfilled the prescribed standards of competency in public procurement.
Kukarola, who joined Forsyth County’s government in 1994, has served as the director of the procurement department since January 2007.
The department works to obtain in a cost-effective and responsive manner the materials, equipment, services and construction required for county departments.
