Forsyth County News
The Forsyth County Development Authority has voted to keep its officers for another year.

Chairman Bobby Thomas and Vice Chairwoman Joanne Tolleson will remain in their roles, as will Tim Perry as treasurer/secretary.

Also during the Feb. 17 meeting, it was decided four members will spend the next three months reviewing the authority’s bylaws, which haven’t been overhauled in nearly 30 years.

The group also heard from Brian Dill, vice president of economic development for the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.

Dill reviewed the authority’s $60,000 strategic recruitment and retention plan.

The plan sets an aggressive strategy for recruiting international businesses, specifically from Germany and other European countries.

The Forsyth County commission is funding the plan, which the authority could approve next month.
