Totes 2 Tots collected about 150 bags from the Forsyth County community during its eighth annual drive for foster children.

In total, more than 4,000 bags were donated by Georgia Cancer Specialists, or GCS, and Atlanta Oncology Associates during the one-day event Jan. 15.

Totes 2 Tots delivers new and slightly used backpacks, suitcases, duffel or diaper bags and other bags to foster children in the state.

Many of these children must travel from home to home, carrying all their belongings with them in whatever means available.

Forsyth County’s donations were collected at the Cumming GCS location on Northside Forsyth Drive. The 150 bags will be given to foster children in the county.

Since the program launched in 2003, more than 22,000 bags have been collected and distributed throughout the state.
