Dutch Monkey Doughnuts, the popular Forsyth County doughnut shop, is opening a new concept store in a luxury active-adult residential development in Johns Creek.

Called “The Dutch,” the new location will serve Dutch Monkey’s award-winning doughnuts and coffee but also offer gourmet, European-style frites and soft-serve ice cream, according to a press release.

“The Dutch” will be located inside EVOQ Town Flats, a 140-unit apartment complex for residents 55 and older at the intersection of Hwy. 141 and Bell Road in downtown Johns Creek.

“After 10 years of being a part of a great community in South Forsyth, we’re excited to launch our new frites cafe concept in the beautiful EVOQ Town Flats space in Johns Creek,” Dutch Monkey owners and husband-wife team Martin Burge and Arpana Satyu-Burge said in a statement. “We can’t wait to meet the Johns Creek community and bring our European-style frites, signature doughnuts and counter-culture coffee to the neighborhood.”

Burge and Satyu-Burge opened Dutch Monkey on Ronald Reagan Boulevard in 2009 after moving from New York where the two had been working at the Metropolitan Opera House.
