About 100 people attended an anniversary dinner and fundraiser Monday night at Tam’s Backstage restaurant.
In honor of its sixth anniversary, the eatery, located inside the Cumming Playhouse, held a fundraiser meal for Children’s Healthcare of Forsyth’s pediatric ambulance fund.
Beth Buursema, community outreach liaison with Children’s, said the event brought in more than $3,000 for the fund.
Supporters of Children’s are attempting to raise about $750,000 for the pediatric ambulance, which would be housed in Forsyth, serving children in the local community and other northeast Georgia counties.
Buursema thanked the restaurant leaders for choosing the ambulance fund as this year’s beneficiary.
"What a wonderful evening of great food and fellowship," she said.
"We are honored to be able to serve the children of Forsyth County and their families, and because of Brian and Kelly Tam and the community that came out [Monday], we are closer to having a dedicated transport ambulance in our community."
