The Forsyth County branch of the Georgia Farm Bureau did its part to help Haiti following last month’s devastating earthquake.

The office participated in a statewide effort that raised $16,000 for the Peanut Butter for Haiti project.

The money helped pay to send 17,777 pounds of peanut butter to the Caribbean nation.

Donations will continue to be accepted through the end of March, which is national Peanut Month.

Checks can be sent to Early County 2055, Peanut Butter for Haiti, P.O. Box 725 Blakely, GA 39823.

Checks should be made payable to Early County 2055.
