CUMMING -- A local business’s annual sale promotion and family fun day begins on Monday to benefit a Forsyth County youth organization.

The fifth annual Flacktoberfest is a week-long sale campaign Monday-Saturday at Flack’s Flooring Co. that culminates in a family day on Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in front of the store at 5750 Georgia Highway 400.

“There will be activities for kids, the jumpy houses, face painting, free barbecue. It’s just a cool day,” said Brad Flack, of the company.

Flack will donate a percentage of his sales to Forsyth County Young Life, a multicultural ministry focused on youth programs.

“We’ve been supporting them for the last three years,” Flack said.

Between 150 and 200 people are expected to show up, with last year’s event raising about $2,500.

“It’s grown every year,” he said.
