SOUTH FORSYTH -- With spring in full swing and summer right around the corner, any chance to get outside should be seized. And starting this Monday, that will include dinner and an evening of family fun.

Food trucks will be rolling up to the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center every third Monday of the month from April through July.

From 5 to 8 p.m. each of those Mondays, Food Trucks N’ Forsyth will offer a rotating lineup of five food and two dessert trucks and entertainment in the center parking lot behind The Collection at Forsyth.

“Each event will have a variety of food, and the goal is to do every event with new food trucks,” said Dawn Hall, organizer.

Hall owns Happy Belly Curbside Kitchen, one of the trucks to be featured Monday.

The other trucks visiting town for this first event are:
* The Loaded Burger
* Bollywood Zinger
* Cousins Maine Lobster
* Blaxican Food Truck
* SnoBayou Handcrafted SnoBalls
* King of Pops

Hall said she carefully plans out the lineup to make sure “everybody’s needs are met.”

All trucks accept cash and credit cards.

Picnic tables will be set up, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating if they want to hang around for a while, said Sara Harrison, director of the conference center.

The Instructors are scheduled as the live musical entertainment, and Balloons Over Georgia will be offering tethered balloon rides for $10 for adults and $5 for children.
