FORSYTH COUNTY — Forsyth County is calling all local senior citizens to come out next weekend to get to know their community.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the county’s senior services department will hold its 14th annual Senior Expo at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center.

The expo will feature local businesses and service providers that appeal or are specific to seniors, and will offer free health screenings, door prizes and refreshments. 

Health screenings will be held for stroke, hearing, vision and osteoporosis, as well as more routine tests such as vital signs and blood pressure.

Among vendors at the expo will be those representing legal service firms, home care and senior living.

The event is free to attend and open to friends, family and caregivers of seniors.
