Forsyth County unveils new-look website
Forsyth

CUMMING — Forsyth County’s government recently debuted its enhanced website, www.forsythco.com.

The effort, which was aimed at improving online access to county information, features a new layout and navigation.

According to County Manager Doug Derrer, the project came about as more people are “looking for information online.”

“The improvements … were undertaken in an effort to create a more user-friendly experience for those visiting the site, and to help them find the information they are looking for quickly and easily,” he said in a statement.

Perhaps chief among the new features is a search function, which wasn’t previously available.

A news release also noted that all information related to county meetings, including agendas, minutes and videos, has been grouped together in one location and go back two years.

Forsyth’s communications director, Jodi Gardner, said this was done “in an effort to streamline the process for those looking for meeting-related information.”

The site also features a “How Do I” tab at the top of the home page, where visitors to the site can quickly find answers to some frequently asked questions.

The improvements were completed in-house by the county’s information systems and technology department.
