The public is invited to learn more about the impact of obesity on the work force during the 2012 Healthcare Summit.Presented by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the summit is set for 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center. Jason Mock, director of the chamber’s Small Business Services Center, said the event is “open to anybody,” but small business owners in particular likely would benefit from attending. “It’s going to focus on businesses and the costs that businesses are having to incur in their health care benefits for employees and the fact that if you have healthier employees, you will have lower costs in your [medical insurance] plans,” he said.
